The walk started through the woods and then along the escarpment where early lunch was taken. Soon after lunch blackberry picking started in earnest, while those not interested in picking continued to finish the walk 40 min's ahead of the pickers.
The walk past Castle Howard was most enjoyable in the sunshine.
