The weather played a big part on this walk. Rain had made the walk muddy and one steep hill was only just possible due to the slippery path. This must be one of our hardest walks we do due to its length combined with the steep hills. It is also a nice walk beside the river Derwent and through the forest, but it might be better as a summer walk and not quite so late in the year.
